Undergraduates
UTeach Dallas gives students the opportunity to explore the profession of teaching secondary mathematics, science or computer science with little class time and financial commitment.
As early as your first semester in the program, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach a lesson in a local school classroom. The program will begins with two one-credit hour courses, STEP 1 and STEP 2.
Students are encouraged to begin the UTeach Dallas program as early as the first semester of their freshman year. You can major in one of the UT Dallas degrees in mathematics or science. You must meet with the UTeach advisor to discuss the program and how it might work with your degree plan before you can enroll.
Possible Scholarships and Financial Opportunities are available through UTeach Dallas and other sources. Also, please meet with Financial Aid office for more possibilities.
Prospective students must meet with the UTeach Dallas Advisor or one of the master teachers prior to enrolling in the first UTeach Dallas course.
How to Apply
- Make an appointment to see the UTeach academic advisor.
- Complete the Entrance Interview Form (2023) before you register for the first UTeach Dallas course.
- Plan out a possible course sequence for completing our program with the UTeach Dallas Advisor and register for the first UTeach course, STEP 1. Any student who has successfully met with the advisor can register for this course.
